Hey, I’m MacKenzie — a director/producer who tells bold, heart-forward stories that center marginalized voices and shake up what we’re used to seeing on screen.

I started in LA as a Post PA and quickly worked my way up the post ladder. Then I pivoted into production at FOX Studios working on New Girl and The Grinder, where I learned how to bring a series to life from script to screen — and caught the bug to start my own production company. In doing so, I got to collaborate and develop projects with legends like Regina King and Tony Robbins and learned so much along the way.

Then, life changed course (as it does!) and I moved out to NYC, I dove into late-night, political comedy, and documentaries since that was more of what was available back east. Recent years have been a wild ride — directing and producing for Netflix, Disney, Google, and NASA (yes, the space people). I produced and directed pieces for Origins of Hip-hop (IDA winner, 2022), and last year, I co-produced Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words - a feature documentary for Amazon MGM, which was released in IMAX and on Prime, tackling incredibly complex topics such as misogynoir, physical assault, mental health, and more. I also was so excited to cap off the year producing Fat Joe Talks for STARZ with great friends and collaborators at Embassy Row and RocNation.

This year, I’m developing a documentary with Amazon & VICE, and prepping to direct my first narrative feature — a queer, genre-bending body horror.

I'm always actively looking for other great partners and projects. I’m all about creative collaboration, honest storytelling, and building worlds that matter. Let’s make something good.
